Colin Keane doubled up at Dundalk to move on to the 75 winner mark, two ahead of Pat Smullen, as Reckless Endeavour came out on top in the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Race.
Ger Lyons trains Reckless Endeavour, and he also provided championship chasing Keane with his earlier winner, My Mystique in the 6.00
Here Reckless Endeavour raced in mid-division before travelling up well two furlongs out.
Pushed along to go third over a furlong out, the 9/4 second favourite (from 3s on track and bigger earlier) led 150 yards, keeping on well to defeat Geological by a length and three parts.
Market-leader Moviesta didn't get a trouble free run and he ended up a length back in third.
Shane Lyons commented afterwards: "He's after getting a new lease of life since we dropped him back in trip. He loves this track, and they went good and hard which he loves coming off that pace.
"It's a great result for Geraldine and Vincent (Gaul, owner) as they lost a nice two-year-old on Sunday in Naas (Would You Believe) so this is a real pick me up for them.
"He's in the Horses In Training Sale at Newmarket. He has options now whether to go there or stay on the team for next year."
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Moviesta (USA), ridden by R.P. Downey, Patrick ridden by W.J. Lee, Duplication ridden by D. O'Brien, and Time To Reason ridden by S. Foley.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise R.P. Downey to ride with more care in future.
