Colin Bowe limbered up for the point-to-point season which begins at the weekend as Sweet Home Chicago came out on top in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel.
Bryan Cooper did the steering on the 8/1 shot, and though Presentingprincess finished off well in the three miler, it wasn't enough to get to Sweet Home Chicago who prevailed by three parts of a length.
"Bryan said after he rode him the last day at Listowel that if he'd have known him, he'd have gunned him earlier as he stays well," said Bowe.
"He is competitive off that mark and probably doesn't jump well enough for a fence so we'll probably go for another one of these again. He'll get a holiday for the real winter and we'll make plenty use of him when the ground is right."
C.D. Maxwell, rider of Coolmill trained by D.F. O'Shea, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't travel down the hill.
