people say 0-60s are terrible races but he couldn't win one last week! He was carrying ten stone then and he's not that big and couldn't carry the weight. He beat some good horses tonight though but I'd say the delay beforehand didn't really help as he can get a bit sulky.

I've been watching his races and the one thing I wanted from Danny was to take it up two furlongs out. I thought he could put the race to sleep a furlong out and Danny gave him a brilliant ride . he couldn't have done any better on him. He'll go back on grass now and maybe go for a six furlong 60 to 90 worth 20 grand at Naas in a few weeks time. I think that's his eighth win and it's great for his loyal owners, Jonathan Cusack and his mother Marie, hoteliers from Trim. They are very loyal owners.

The key to the horse was the easy ground. I said to Niall to go straight up the middle. NIall said the horse was full of running a furlong out. He's an improving horse, not the biggest but brave and six furlongs is his trip. We couldn't get a bid for him at the sales but he owes us nothing.

It was grand to get a win coming up to Galway. I think claiming the five pounds off was vital to him. I told Martin [Harley] to sit behind the leaders and hold on to him for as long as he could. I'm thrilled to bits he won and Martin was on good him. Martin is a family friend and he's a very good rider and I'm delighted for him. We'll bring him to Galway now for something over seven furlongs.

This is my favourite course. The horse travelled well for Ben and I'd told him to wait for as long as he could before producing him. He'll go to Listowel and to Galway before that for a seven furlong race. He is a great fun horse and it's a pity the owners couldn't be here tonight. They have a 'do' at the hotel this evening (the Knightsbrook in Trim).
