He ran a cracking race in Cork last Sunday and when the handicapper put him up a couple of pounds we said we might as well come here. He's probably the oldest horse running here today but he's an amazing horse and has a wonderful owner Mr Olivero from Italy who has had horses with me for years. The other reason I ran him is that he loves Leopardstown and won the Nasrullah Premier Handicap here twice. Six years ago he ran in Dubai and he's just a lovely horse to have. We retired him once but he's an example of a horse that loves being a racehorse. He loves life, he loves training in the morning and he loves racing. He's highly competitive at home so if we have something that can beat him you know they're good. He's rated 89 and is a hard horse to place so we'll have to see where we go.

He was very very well at home and you'd have been disappointed if he didn't put up a big show. Obviously it was a competitive race and he was up there with top weight or near enough to it but we were hopeful as he's a good consistent horse. As regards Galway I haven't thought about it. This time of year in years gone by you'd be pretty clued up as to what was going to happen. This time we're going in there just hoping to have runners and to do well. We'll take it as it comes. Without the stable being in top form I think that was still my 30th winner of the year. Obviously it's not where we want to be but we're not out of it (the jockey's championship) and I don't lie down that easily. It's hard to believe that it's four years since he won the same race. He's a model of consistency, and we'll probably have to go into Stakes level with him now. He got a magnificent ride from Pat, and he'd the race won a long way out. I'm delighted for the Bellamy Syndicate that own him and they have been great supporters of mine. The mile Premier Handicap at Galway is a possibility as the pace they go in that you want a horse that stays a bit further than a mile and a 100 yards. He will be entered in it but I'd see him running at Stakes level from now on.

He's a very consistent horse and got an excellent ride from Pat,. He's an eight-year-old now so every day is good with him. We'll look at a premier handicap, that's the logical way. He's after winning two nice races on two runs this season so we're very pleased.

The last time he ran here, he won and he went to Dubai (February 2016) and got injured. But he was always a good horse and still is a good horse and I'm delighted with him,. I thought he might need the run but he got a lovely run on him and that's his ground. I toyed with the idea of running in a good handicap hurdle at Punchestown next Friday but may stay on the Flat now. I don't really have any jump horses and he may appear back over hurdles maybe even at Galway! He could run on the Flat or over hurdles there - he's a fair horse over hurdles too.

These small fields can be tactical races and that actually suited our lad so it worked out well. He put it to bed impressively,.

In fairness he's always been a decent horse but has been jumping and found it (the pace) a bit of a shock to the system as they went a fair clip. He'll go to Listowel for a hurdle next.

It was a very nice prize to win. The first target this year was the Irish Lincolnshire, but it was a bit soft for him. He appreciated the ground today and Pat was always in the right position. It was lovely summer ground. He will probably head on for a Listed race now. Getting black type will be the target now. I think he's a Listed level horse. He hit his head in the box coming up. We deliberated and checked him and checked him again. We had the vet have a look at him at the start and he was happy was him.

He's a lovely big horse and will go for a conditions race next. We'll see where he fits in,. He's a big backward horse and ran a nice race first time at Naas.
