It wasn't the strongest race in the world but he's done it nicely. I've had him since the May sales last year (bought for 7,500 pounds) but he's had a few problems. He wasn't that easy to train but he's won today and it's great. He'll keep going while the ground the soft. He could go back over hurdles as well and we can step him up in trip.

It's the first bit of heavy ground that he's been lucky enough to get this year. It was an ordinary contest and it suited him well. He only has a certain gear and he plods away through that ground where other horses can't.
