After race at Ballinrobe Fri, 9th Sep, 2022 (1st)  We said we'd ride him handy but try not to get into a battle, and Paddy did exactly that to be fair to him. He's a Sea The Stars so he has a bit of boot and travels well even though he mightn't be the toughest. Paddy was plenty cool on him and stayed out a little too until they got down to the second-last. He wouldn't want it too soft, so he's not going to stay going for the winter and he's after being busy enough. He might even go back on the Flat, maybe at Dundalk. He had two proper injuries when he started off with us and fair play to his owner Tom McNulty for persevering with him and he's getting his reward now. This is Tom's local track so he's delighted. After race at Cork Fri, 10th May, 2019 (1st)  Today was genuinely only a fact-finding day. He's done a few pieces of work but we're only learning about him like everyone else. Colin said they went no gallop, which, in hindsight, wouldn't have suited him but he liked the ground, which is a positive. We thought at home that a mile and two furlongs is no problem to him, I'd say in time when we step him up into a higher grade of a race and they go a good honest gallop, that might suit him. He was honest today and we'll take the positives out of it. Fitness-wise he'll improve - we definitely haven't cooked him - and it was a good day out for him. G M Lyons
