We felt that she had improved from the last day, and she did a good bit of work during the week. At the same time it was nice to see plenty of non-runners in the race. We were planning to come back here in September for a race that carries some black type. Three miles is her trip, although I wouldn’t run her on ground as quick as that again.

it was an eventful race and it shows how much luck you need and it was also Shane’s (Butler) first ride back from injury and I’m delighted for him. She’s a big mare and hopefully she’ll keep improving for next year.

I was hoping she'd run pretty good and while her form was solid, it looked a hotter race than the ones she has previously contested,. She's a big mare and won't be a mare until next year - we'll have a chat in a few days and decide whether to go for a winners' bumper or go jumping.
