She was good today. She’s been in good form at home and I said to Billy we’d put the cheek pieces on. She’s five years old and was just doing what she had to do, just going through the motions.

She’s tough and improving all the time. She does what she has to do and enjoys racing. She’s won her Group 2 now so we’ll have to try and win a Group 1. The fillies' races through the summer - the Falmouth, the Prix de Rothschild and the Matron - maybe the Foret and the Breeders Cup Mile, that sort of programme we are looking at with her.

I picked the race out a good while ago but I thought the ground would be softer. My owner was less keen than me to run but I liked the idea of running in a prep race like this. I had to convince my owner that it was a good idea. I called for her to stay in training, they wanted to retire her, and the aim is to win a Group 1. I have her in the Lockinge but I doubt she'll go there. She's not a Group 2 winner yet and the Ridgewood Pearl Stakes at the Curragh and the Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot are likely options but she is in the Lockinge and I wouldn't rule it out. Then obviously we'll look at fillies races and I'd say the owner would like to go back to America with her eventually. I'd say she'd suit America. She was just ready to run today and it's just wherever she takes us now. She's not very big so she won't take lots of racing but she's a five-year-old so she'll take more than she has before. She's run on firm and heavy and it's been the same result so I'd say she's more versatile than I thought she was.

I’m delighted she did that. She was in great form when she won the Brownstown and I said we’d go straight for the Matron.

She's a very well-bred filly and this race has been the plan all year as I wanted to make her a group winner,. I have her in the Matron (Stakes, Leopardstown) and I'd say that will probably be the plan. Good ground or better is essential for her and she won't show up otherwise. I made that mistake last year and even running on the all-weather her foot goes in too far, she just likes to ping off the top of it. Barring the day I ran her on the all-weather, she's never put a foot wrong. There's not a lot of her there, she's not very big. I'd say it's unlikely she would run again before the Matron.

She is a handy filly and I was a little concerned about her carrying that weight but I thought this was the race for her and I hoped she'd win it. I think it is hard on a filly to step from a maiden straight into a Stakes race and I felt she could be competitive in a handicap. I haven't thought past today but the aim would be to try and win a Stakes race with her. She is nice filly and I'm thrilled she did what she did.

She is a nice filly; we have had her since January and she came from France. There is an unusual story with her as her grandam (Group 1 Prix Vermeille Stakes winner Pearly Shells) was bred here at the track by Lord Harrington. She is Lord Harrington's back pedigree and is coming home to win her maiden. I'm very happy for her to win her maiden and we'll see how she comes out of this.
