That was great - a good performance from him. He (Andrew) said he handles that ground but that he'd be better on softer. He was entitled to win like that on the ratings. He'll go to the North (Down Royal for a Grade 2) now in three weeks time and to Fairyhouse (the Hatton's Grace) after that. The ground out there today was beautiful and fair dues to all involved. We had him schooled over fences and I was afraid he'd jump too big but he didn't. Andrew gave him a very good ride.

I told Davy to make it if he wanted because we knew there'd be a lack of pace. He gave him a very confident ride. He'll probably go to Fairyhouse and Punchestown now. Then he'll have a break. He prefers to go right-handed so he won't go to Cheltenham even though the owners might want to.

He's much better going that way. If I had my way we'd steer clear of Cheltenham and wait for the festival here. I don't know why but he hangs when going left-handed and I've had him checked out top to bottom but we can't find anything it's just one of those things.

He was an unbelievable price! I was disappointed with him the last day but that was the only bad run of his life. Andrew (McNamara) said he enjoyed being in front today. He'll go to Leopardstown at Christmas.

That was very good. We were hoping he'd do it that way. Ruby was very happy with him. He likes deep ground. We'll probably bring him for a two mile two in the North (Down Royal) on the Friday of the big meeting. Cheltenham in November is another option. I bought a few easyfix hurdles two weeks ago and I had him jumping them.

I wasn't worried about him carrying top-weight. He will improve from this run and now heads to Punchestown for the Champion Bumper if the ground is no faster than here today. I think we can gain revenge on Dunquib which beat us at Navan.
