He came for this race last year but he had a hard race at Punchestown and he was probably a bit tired. This time around he hadn't as a hard race beforehand. Brian gave him a textbook ride, he was everywhere you wanted him to be. He had to ask him at the last as he was in that position. The horse is in good form, we got him as a nine-year-old and we have him three years now. That's his ninth win and there is no sign of retiring him at the moment. There is possibly another hurdle in him off his rating. He owns us nothing from a long time ago and anything we get is bonus. The horses are running really well and we have had a good week. We have had four winners including a winner in England (since Christmas).

He's won that now for three years and that's brilliant. It's hard enough to get one never mind win the same race three times.

he is rising 12 but is still full of enthusiasm. He has settled down a lot and when he came to us as a nine year old, he had low mileage. That's his grade and he is now back on a winning mark. He ran a nice race last Sunday Brian (Cawley) gave him a perfect ride. There's a chase on New Year's Eve at Punchestown that he has won for the past two years and will more than likely go there next.

That's great. I didn't jock myself off, Noel O'Brien [handicapper] did! Brian is great value for his seven-pound claim and gave him a great ride. He didn't panic and arrived just in time. He is what he is ratings wise and we'll look for something similar. There's a race for him at Naas next week, but that might be a bit soon. He'll mix it in handicap hurdles and chases. It's great for connections (T & M Racing Partnership) as they've had a rough time in the last 10 days with a bereavement in the family.
