That was great. I thought they went a bit slow early on which didn't help me as he needs a gallop. He's going to get a break now and come back in the spring when he'll go back over fences. When the ground stayed good for us I said we'll take another few quid. Hopefully we'll run him in the Irish National if he gets a bit quicker over his fences. He wants three miles.

We've schooled him plenty, and he jumps brilliant at home. He's getting more confidence all the time,. He loves that ground and is not a winter horse. If it stays like that he could run again in two or three weeks' time. He wants further, and I've always felt he could be an Irish National horse.

I thought the ground had gone yesterday for him when I seen the heavens open and was thinking of not running. He hadn't run in three months though so I thought I'd give him a run. He might go to Listowel now as long as it doesn't go too heavy. He could go back over fences then. He hasn't really been taking on his fences but he's a good jumper when he meets them right. He could be an Irish National horse in time.

The good track helped him. In Galway he kept getting caught at his fences and got himself a bit out of it.

He loves that ground and can't go on yielding. He's a born chaser but I thought we might take a little hurdle on the way!. We'll look at the beginners chase at Galway now. He wants a trip.
