he is a good stayer and he really does go well on the soft ground. He is a lovely, sensible, good matured horse and the more he went, the more he stretched away. We look on him as a St Leger candidate - we'll have him in both the English and Irish ones before making a decision He is improving and Johnny said of all the horses he rode this weekend, this one handled the ground best.

He came on from his first run and we'll see what the handicapper does now. He probably wouldn't like fast ground but would like genuinely good ground. He'll get further but at the moment that trip is good for him. The finish was a bit of a heart-stopper alright!
