I said to Fran (Berry) and Kevin (O'Ryan, Racing TV), who are always joking with me, 'she'll win!' and they looked at me. We got beat in the nursery in the race before and the two-year-old (Moral Turpitude) was working with her, but we missed the break and you cannot miss the break in Dundalk. The mares sometimes can really come on as they get older. The guys wanted to cover her from four to five and I said please don't do that because this mare could be a Group animal next year. I will talk to them, but definitely (stay in training). She was very unlucky in Tipperary because she was drawn on the wrong side. If she was this side, she would have won. I said to my boy (Oisin McSweeney), because I've trained abroad for so long, 'if you can do 12 seconds for the first furlong, they won't beat you'. I knew the way she jumped out, we had it. She would be tough.

When she won her maiden first time out in the Curragh, we thought we had a stakes horse and then everything went wrong. Even this year, she is only just coming to hand. We thought last week she was never ever better. They say sprinters get better with age and she is probably proof of it now. She had a lot of trouble with her feet and she had two wind operations as well. It has all come together now, eventually. She has so much speed she takes a bit of pegging back. I don't know where we go after here, we will have to have a close look at the programme and see. She obviously handles the all-weather very well. The lads were giving out when she got 8lb the last day, I think they can forget about that!

A fast five (furlongs) seems to be the call for her alright - Tipperary, Cork and here. A stiff five she seems to be getting caught late on. The last time she won in Dundalk she won off this mark. She had some consistent efforts and she wasn't really coming down the ratings. We were fairly confident coming here today if everything went to plan. She has loads and loads of pace. We have been banging this drum for a while but at the Guineas meeting (at the Curragh) there wasn't one race for a five-furlong horse. Now we have the Derby weekend coming up and we have one race, the Rockingham which is a top-end handicap. They wonder why there are no sprinters in Ireland - you have to put the races on for them. They (sprinters) have their part to play and we have done well with them. We didn't look beyond today - today was the plan for a while. We will see what he (handicapper) does. Hopefully he won't give her more than a pound or two.

Oisin has come over to join us and is in the process of getting signed up as an apprentice for our yard. It is a great start and I'm delighted for him. He's a hard-working lad and he'll get huge amount of support in Ireland.

She is definitely the fastest two-year-old we have ever had. She always seemed a bit special and is very quick. Everyone has been very patient with her as she had a touch of sore shins and went out to grass. She did very well in a barrier trial and is a half-sister to a good tough horse of ours Lord Dudley. From flagfall she is gone and a lot of these horses can’t maintain it to the line but she can. We joked a few weeks ago with Liam Clarke, who runs the Kildare Racing Club, that we had half an eye on the Breeders Cup!. We think she’s black-type but we’re under no pressure now and we’ll sit back and see where we go.
