He doesn't do much when he hits the front but getting a bit squeezed before the last was a help to him. He was only just getting away with the ground as he would want it softer. He will probably make a trip to Prestbury Park now and he is entitled to it. The last day he saw too much daylight and was a bit keen. We put a cross noseband on him today and that seems to have made the difference.

I only ran him because he was due to go up 9lbs following his Clonmel win and he got in here with a 6lbs penalty, so I really had to run him. He'll have a long break now and may get into the MCR Hurdle at Leopardstown in January - we might chance our arm in it anyway. I was a little worried about him today as he almost too calm compared to what he is usually like!

He's a great old horse. Early in his career he used to get wound up and while he has calmed down now you wouldn't think he was ten,. He wants this ground. He won't race too much but we might go for a big pot with him. He would get in at the bottom of a race like the MCR Hurdle. If we had 30 of these we would be flying.

That was his first run for me. I don't really know a whole lot about him but on his homework he had stones in hand coming here. He was boiled over before so that was a worry, he is a bit of a character. Today was the plan and it worked out well. I don't mind where we go after, he might go back on the flat as he's loads of toe.
