He’s been some servant, and is a right one to have. We could do with a few more like him. He loves it around here (third course and distance win), and we’ll have to think about the Midlands National now. He’s really honest and genuine.

He obviously saves his best for around here. They tend to go fast and get tired, and he can come back at them. He could come back here for something like the Midlands National.

That was a bit of a surprise. I have to say he disappointed us here the last day. Mark said they went so fast so he bit the bullet and dropped him out. We maybe got Jody (McGarvey) to force him along a bit much last time. The race fell his way and they maybe went too quick. The one thing on his side is that he's a bit of a stayer when he gets his chance. It was similar to when he won in Leopardstown. He looked that day like he was going to pull up four out. Hopefully he does it again for us.

He kept sticking his head out. He had a good look at the last and had to battle back to the line,. With the small field it was a great opportunity to win a race with him. He's been running well but hasn't got his head in front. He ran a cracker in Punchestown and also ran well in Roscommon. He's honest and gives it a good go everytime. We'll see what there is about for him over three miles. He likes the trip.

that was a welcome shock and I didn't expect it! . Mark said he appreciated the better ground . it was very testing the last day at Thurles and he didn't seem to cope with it. He was galloping well across the top of the hill then but it (the ground) just got to him. It was an extraordinary day when very few horses finished.

He did it well. His run in the north was a good run and he stayed at it [third in a 2m 6f handicap hurdle at Down Royal on November 5]. Mark said today he wanted to ride him handier and that suited him well. It was a low grade contest but he stuck at it well. He could go further. We'll talk to Frank [Frank Berry racing manager to JP McManus] and see what he wants to do. It's great to get a winner.
