That was grand even though we will be in trouble again with Noel O'Brien! . Small fields suit him, he just thinks about it a bit in big fields. He got into it and got a rhythm going today. He is in again on Sunday in a hurdle that he finished second in last year and if he is alright again the morning he will probably be declared for it.

Tramore Thu, 11th Oct, 2012 (1st)
Tramore has been a lucky place for me and that was badly wanted. We have had a good few placed horses but we're just finding it hard to get one over the line recently. Days Ahead is still a bit green jumping-wise but all-in-all he did it well. He was a good juvenile hurdler earlier in his career but has had his wind done since then; he is still well handicapped on the Flat.

He has been unlucky a few times. He might go for the Irish Field Hurdle at Punchestown. He'll be a nice horse next year. Andrew said he wouldn't want it any heavier. He wouldn't want winter heavy.

He ran well at Killarney last time but I thought the ground might be a bit quick for him tonight. He's a big, strong horse and the plan is to go 3yo hurdling with him,.
