Philip Enright gave him a great ride. He said it was like a bit of work for him,. They went hard up front and Philip was happy to sit off it and let him ease into the race. He had no hard race, and provided he has come out of it okay, he will go for the Cesarewitch next Sunday. He’s been some horse for us. Before today he had about €230,000 won between everything and another almost 40 grand today.

Two years ago he was beaten a short-head in this race and was unlucky in the Galway Hurdle where he was caught at the start and got squeezed up passing the stands, . He was only beaten four lengths and he lost more than that in the race so I thought he would have won. Philip knew the horse from Galway and I told him to keep him out of trouble today and he gave him a brilliant ride; Philip is as cute as a fox!. He's not unlucky any more and won handy enough. The Cesarewitch is next and we'll see after the Cesarewitch what to do. He has never jumped a fence and Tom O'Brien (owner) says to keep him away from the fences but I think he would jump a fence.

The first race that he won (at Listowel) he nearly turned back, and the next day he won at Galway he nearly forgot to take the bend into the straight. At Listowel the last day he didn’t get the clearest of runs and he should have won there as well. We were worried about the ground and Rachael said the same thing. Hopefully he’ll progress away. The handicapper may not be too nice to him and he may have to go novice hurdling now. We may not do much with him until the ground gets a bit better again.

He loves the ground - he didn't run on that ground since he had his debut run at Killarney. He's after coming on but ran on the Flat the last and went to run out and also went to run out the first day he ran at Killarney,. He'll hopefully improve from there and he'll keep going for the summer.
