We always say we're delighted with that but we're definitely delighted with that!. This was always the plan with him. He was in the Jersey and Vincent said to us 'it's your call but I'd rather win at Leopardstown than finish fourth or fifth in the Jersey.'. I'm delighted for Vincent and Geraldine, they are dream owners and have been with us from day one. They always have three or four with us every year and take the bad news as easy as the good. They won this race before with An Tadh (in 2006). He has a massive heart and loves this ground. Colin said he could have gone even quicker. A mile will be no problem to him and there is plenty more to come. He ran really well on slow ground in the Guineas, considering he wants it lightening quick.

It's a good start to the year for the little horse. He was the only horse I had ready for the race and it would be a shame not to have a runner,. He's a good honest horse and he came on well over the winter. He's won two Listed races now and hopefully he can grow into something like the Ballycorus. I'll keep him to seven or a mile for the moment. He's still in the Irish Guineas but that's a huge jump from here to there. We have the Jersey and races like that, there are plenty of options. I thought last year he'd want ten furlongs, but on what he showed tonight we'll keep him to seven and a mile for the moment.

He is a tough, tough horse and I thought Aidan's (East India) would have to be a Derby horse to beat him. I didn't think he would do it like that but he has had to do it the hard way every day. I said to Aidan before the race that he is a real dogfighter and that he is a true professional. We are looking forward to when he runs in a real strong gallop where he sits in. I'm not sure what the plans are with him for the moment. It's brilliant for Vincent and Geraldine (the owners), they bought him at the last sales of the year last year. They bought him on look as he looks like An Tadh (the first horse the Gaul's had with Lyons), they might have to sack Ger as a bloodstock agent!

We said we'd use his experience and hope for the best. It was a good genuine performance and he had to do it the hard way. I think he's a stakes horse.
