He keeps a bit for himself, . That's his fourth win here and this race was the plan from the day he came in (during the summer) and we sweetened him up with two runs in point to points and it worked out. Looking at him there today he made heavy weather of it and he might need blinkers the next day to help him travel. There was plenty of money for him today so that is the job done for now!. We have ten horses riding out at the moment and I'm looking for more. The 10 I have are a mix of point-to-pointers and track horses.

He likes it around here and he's probably better around here than anywhere,. He pulled up the last day but he's a funny horse and it was sunny and there was glare and sun on fences and was never travelling. If he hadn't run at Naas and was coming here from his previous run at Punchestown, I'd be fancying him as that was a very good race. If the ground dries up he'll go out on grass.

He won here last year in a three-mile handicap hurdle. He likes those conditions and in Thurles the last day he probably just hit the front too soon and idled when he got to the front. I wanted to get a lead into it today and it worked out. He loves the ground and he stays and he jumps. He’ll stay chasing and we’ll let him tell us where he stops. This time last year he was second three times (over fences) and was just unlucky to keep running into one. They seemed to go a good gallop early for the conditions and he’d stay all day.

I was going to run him in a beginners' chase at Tramore but he got balloted out. He took it up a long way out and was there to be shot at. I still think he’s probably more of a chaser.
