We’re delighted with that, he’s a horse that’s always promised an awful lot and we’ve held him in very high regard,. He had an allergy issue last year, it turned out he was allergic to grass. When he got his good to firm ground in the Curragh he was very good. We went hunting a bit afterwards with him but we never got our ground. Fair play to Marc (Chan, owner) and Jamie McCalmont as they said ‘why don’t we geld him?’ and we actually did a kissing spine operation on him as well. He was only just ready to start there today and I think we should have a really exciting season ahead with him. We’ll go to Royal Ascot next with him for the Wolferton Stakes. We didn’t put him in the Queen Anne. I wasn’t too bothered if we did finish second today as then he wouldn’t have had a penalty for Ascot but now he will!

That’s what he was showing us earlier in the year. He had allergies and kept scoping wrong after his races but we’ve been able to treat them since the Guineas and he’s alright now. He loved going around that bend and for a big horse he goes on that quick ground. That was really good and I’d say he will come forward from that and get a bit of confidence.

that was very impressive and he's a gorgeous horse. He only came to us in June and has always done everything so easy. Obviously his sire (Bolt D'oro) is a sensation in America on the dirt and it's exciting for him to have a turf horse here. We'll have a chat with the owners and see where he goes next. I think he's Kentucky-bred and there are plenty of bonuses and stuff to be won out there. He's very exciting for next season.
