I told the owners (James Murtagh) not to come and I was on the verge of taking him out as I thought the ground was too quick. He was unlucky in the Cork National and he ran a cracker here last September. Danny gave him a great ride.

He was well handicapped and I'm not surprised by the way he won. He was a good horse two years but has had problems and I'm just delighted to have him back right. I think he could win one of the better races off a light weight and Davy (Russell) agreed with me. He will have to go to Punchestown now on Wednesday under a four pound penalty before the handicapper gets at him.

I thought he would do that twelve months ago (last season) but he has been very disappointing. I had great things in mind for him. He is well handicapped over hurdles but he lost his way due to injury and other problems. He will go for a chase now at Galway in six weeks' time.

Ruby rode him the last day and said that he needed three miles bit I thought this was a lovely opportunity for him as it was a race for horses who haven't won a hurdle race. I love the way he jumped today as he hasn't jumped a fence in over a year.
