When you grab a hold of this fella he'll always find a little bit more. He just gives you enough,. He's a nice type of horse, he won around Leopardstown, and he's unlucky not to have won a few more — the saddle slipped on him one day and he got brought down over fences in Thurles. He's adaptable as he's 111 over fences, hopefully he can improve on that. We could possibly look at something over Christmas. The plan was today and we'll see where we go from here.

This race was originally for horses rated 102 or less over hurdles and he's 104. It was a good opportunity for him and he jumped quite well. We'll see what kind of mark he gets, and that is more like his ground.

he was a bit unlucky the last day and with the 3lb rise we thought he might still be able to win. The only worry I had was it was coming a bit soon after Fairyhouse but I ran him because there wasn't anything for him for the next three or four weeks. He had a fracture last year and it was very hard to keep him sound and he's a real handicapper sort of horse as he just does enough. He gets himself there and then you have to ask him to do a bit more.
