An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls, approaching the winning post with a circuit to run involving Lawmans Blis (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Jonny Peate; Wrens Rose (FR), unplaced, ridden by Morgan Cole; and Visitant (GB), placed second, ridden by David Allan.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Cole was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Peate was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he shifted right-handed when not sufficiently clear of Wrens Rose (FR), causing the mare to stumble, resulting in Wrens Rose (FR) giving Visitant (GB) a slight bump and causing the gelding to become unbalanced.
Following the race, Sam James reported that The Writer (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed around the first bend towards the stables.
