FormscanBy Tom Weekes - OLYMPIC MAN's jumping has been his achilles heel but could be suited by dropping in distance, have failed to get home over three miles at Fairyhouse. Despite his jumping lacking in fluency, he has smart form and while 6lb higher than at Fairyhouse, that was his handicap debut and he can progress. Waterfordwhispers finished second in the Conditional Jockeys' Hurdle at Cheltenham is also suited by soft ground. He ran with a UK rating of 133 then and runs with 135 here, which is 12lb higher than the mark he was defeated with, when finishing second at the Leopardstown during Christmas. Progressive Lucky Zebo is ground-versatile and has place claims despite being rated 6lb higher than when winning at Cork.

Sam made a good move to nip up the inner before coming down the hill and it could have been the winning and losing of it. It was a brave move but it worked out great for him,. He lost his form a little bit but had an issue after he ran at Limerick last year and it took him a while to get back right. He had a lovely run the last day when he was completely wrong at the weights, but it gave him confidence coming here. I was worried about the ground but it worked out great. Tthere are four involved in the OGB Partnership including Ber (wife) and after he won a bumper we brought him to the sales but couldn't get anyone to buy him. We brought him home and he has now won at the Punchestown festival and has landed a big pot today. He deserved that as he had been running well on the flat. He is a fantastic horse, runs over hurdles and on the flat and he'll win again on the flat,. I was in a panic about the November Handicap because he had to have three flat runs for it and if the entries aren't closed, could run in it. it’s great to get that job done and I was expected a good run. I was disappointed he did that (mistake) at the third last but it was his first day at school. Since he came here today he was gawking everywhere and was on his toes for some reason. At home recently he wouldn't blow you away with how he was going and I said to Rachael that he'd either win or run brutal. The last day Rachael rode him she said he stopped under her and while he scoped perfectly, obviously the operation was what he wanted. He had a promising run on his return when finishing fourth at Navan and he’s come on a little bit from it. I was a little bit concerned about the ground today, but he handled it well and it’s brilliant to get a winner here at Christmas for JP. He's very quirky, he wasn't going a yard there the whole way and it was only when he got a bit of daylight he took off. Two out I didn't think I was going to win, but as soon as you pull him out he takes off. He's a hard enough ride. Some days he can be keen, he wasn't today but the last day in Galway he was, he's just hit and miss. He was a bit unlucky in Galway, he didn't get a run at all down the rail and flew home like today, but was unlucky not to have a bit further to run. Shane said she they very fast early on and I thought she might need the run being her first run back but it was a good performance under top weight.
