Memory Of Youth scooted away in some style to run out an easy winner of the first division of the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse.
The 'Sneezy' Foster-trained mare claimed front-running favourite Brandy Harbour (5/4) before the second last and soon sprinted clear.
Sean Flanagan 's mount got a bit tight at the last but had things in the bag at that stage and could afford to ease down going to the post to record a nine-length win over 40/1 shot Rightful Mind
The 12/1 winner, wearing first time blinkers this afternoon, had been well beaten over fences on her previous outing at Navan last month.
Foster said:- “She was a bit too careful over fences and the blinkers made a difference. They made her a bit braver.
“During the race she was a little bit hot and cold but when push came to shove she pulled it out.
“She has a lovely pedigree and will be a nice broodmare. There might be another one in her.
“She will stick to hurdles now and the blinkers. She ran well in Fairyhouse last year so she likes this place.”
It was the first winner for Foster since leaving her role as caretaker at Cullentra in September.
