Curraheen Princess (6/1) had indicated when third at Cork a week ago that she might be returning to form and gained her seventh career win when landing the featured Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap under Andy Slattery.
Trained in Fethard by Nicky Stokes for owner Tom Egan, the five-year-old raced close to the pace throughout and gained a narrow lead rounding the elbow before holding on by a neck from Greek Flower
Slattery said: "In fairness to Nicky, it looked like she had kind of lost her way and the third at Cork the last day was a bit of a revival for her. She was good today.
"She was giving them weight (in Cork) which is a hard to thing to do on that ground in Cork.
"She is down 6lb from her last winning mark. She's a good, hardy mare and she has done it well.
"I thought I was going to end up further back than I actually did early on, I got a nice slot and she has travelled easy. She is fast and that is what it takes around here."
