Good Bye Milan caused a 25/1 upset to win Wexford's Calor Gas Handicap Hurdle (div I) today, scoring for trainer Seamus Braddish, his son, owner/breeder James Braddish and jockey J.J. Slevin.

Beaten 83 lengths at Kilbeggan on her previous start last month, Good Bye Milan today arrived from mid-division to chase leader Godnor (7/1 to 4s) jumping the last and edged ahead close home for a half length win.

Co Limerick based builder and trainer Braddish wasn't present and afterwards Slevin said “I didn't know much about her, but I rode one for Seamus in Killarney recently (Mr Brogue) who is a half-brother.

“She did it well in fairness to her, she travelled nicely and they are a family with a bit of talent."

Good Bye Milan's more illustrious sister Brogine a six-time winner and aged 12, carries Slevin in today's 7.45pm race with both mares also declared to run at Limerick tomorrow, where Good Bye Milan is a notable first reserve for the 6.00pm race.
