Mysloegin landed a punt in the opening mares' maiden hurdle at Wexford.

Jimmy Finn's charge was backed before racing from 9/4 to 4/5 before going off the even-money favourite under Rachael Blackmore.

She held a narrow lead at the last from Granny Maura but the latter threw away all chance of victory with a bad mistake.

Mysloegin was left well clear from a staying on Agusta Gold (100/30) and came in by a length and three parts.

Granny Maura came in third at 14/1, a further eight lengths back.

Winning trainer Jimmy Finn said: "She had a few good runs in good maidens and a couple of real good handicaps. The experience helped and Rachael is riding out of her skin in fairness.

"I'd say that is her trip and I'd imagine she'll get a bit further to be honest. She does hit a little flat spot through her races, but she stays on and is genuine. She is a nice one to have.

"She won a bumper around Galway so we might have a go at the mares handicap there and see how we get on."
