Sean Jones, Ger Lyons and Colin Keane landed a double at Dundalk, when thirty five minutes on from Melisandre s success, Glastonbury Song lived up to his billing as the 4/6 shot impressed on debut in the Paddy Power One Account Multiple Ways To Bet EBF Auction Maiden (Plus 10 Race).
The Casamento chestnut shrunk in price from quotes of 15/8 and bigger earlier on, and he fully justified that support with a classy performance in this seven furlong heat.
Coming though from the back down the other in the straight, the sweet-traveller led over a furlong out and he extended away inside the last to defeat Chelsea Corsage by two and a quarter lengths.
"He's a lovely horse. Mentally he's very very immature. It's been one step forward, two back with him all year," said Lyons.
"He's a horse for next year and we'll put him away now. He's a horse we think a lot of.
"He's done that well. He was as green as grass, walked out of the stalls, and had to be good to win the way he did."
