Walsh Lords it as Mullins saddles one-two
Sweet My Lord proved too strong for stable-mate Pozyc as Willie Mullins saddled a one-two in the handicap hurdle at Cork.
Ruby Walsh moved through on the inner to lead at the third last on 3/1 favourite Sweet My Lord and going to the next it was his stable-mate that was the danger.
Walsh's mount kept on well in the closing stages, however, holding Pozyc at bay by a length-and-three-quarters in the two-and-a-half mile event.
The winner was bouncing back to form having been well beaten on his return to action at Naas last month.
"Heavy ground is the key to him. He can't jump as fast as the others on faster ground," said Mullins of the winner.
"I wouldn't be afraid to run him over a longer trip. He's probably better suited by hurdles and I'm not sure about chasing with him."
The winner is partly owned by popular RTE presenter Colm Murray, who is battling with motor neurone disease, and Mullins reported:-
"I spoke to Colm and he enjoyed the win."
