Strong in the off-course markets all day, Wajaaha (6/4 fav) raced clear from over a furlong out for a decisive win in the concluding Fedamore Handicap.

After spells with Saeed Bin Suroor and Denis Hogan, the well-bred five-year-old is starting to thrive now and gained this first success on the Flat to go with a handicap hurdle win at Leopardstown back in March.

He was ridden out to a three and a half length victory over Call Me Dolly by Sean Davis, and looks a nice dual-purpose horse for the coming months.

The winner is trained locally by Charles Byrnes who said: "It was great to get it.

"He had a great draw today compared to a bad draw the last day at Roscommon.

“There might be something for him at Galway. The ground was perfect for him today; he handles a slight dig in it."
