Wade Giles scores again for Lyons
Wade Giles made it two from two from when winning the Declan O’Brien De-Compaction Company Supporting Naas Hurling Club Race in the hands of Keagan Latham.
Latham who was never too far off the pace took up the lead over two furlongs out.
The son of Azamour showed great battling qualities to hold off the odds on 1/3 favourite Fencing Master by three lengths.
A delighted winning trainer Ger Lyons said afterwards: “He’s a nice horse and it was a very important win for a new client of mine Pearl Bloodstock.”
“The programme in Ireland is not great for a horse like this but we needed a match and he did it well.”
“There’s a Listed Race in Cork and it may come too soon for him but hopefully there’s many more wins to come.”
