Vroum Vroum Mag toyed with the opposition in Limerick's feature race - the Grade 2 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase.

Sent off the 4/11 favourite in the Ricci colours for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh she maintained her unbeaten record over fences with a polished display.

Walsh settled her in a close-up fifth before the pair jumped into the lead six out. From there very few gears were needed as she cruised along and nimbly negotiated the last to score by eight lengths on the bridle.

Ruby Walsh said: "She jumped super. It wasn't the plan to be in front going up the back but she was travelling so well. I thought Our Katie was the danger but our jumping put her under pressure."

"It was a great week, so many of the horses ran well. It was a wonderful week. This mare wouldn't have been out of place there, but she would have had to take on Don Poli or Vautour.

"She's a very good mare. I don't know where she'll go now; whether she'll go to Aintree for a novice chase or the Ryanair in Fairyhouse, somewhere like that. It was a good pot and a really good performance. Her jumping was brilliant. She was always in second or third gear."

The French-bred six-year-old gave 5lbs to all six rivals, but proved to be different class to them. Shesaportrait was black-type placed as she took second at 50/1 for Patrick Neville and Kevin Sexton.

This was Vroum Vroum Mag's fourth win over fences on Irish soil. On all occasions she was returned at odds on.
