In much the same way as the juvenile colt for the same connections, Tonkinese, a winner at Leopardstown on Friday night, the filly Vitello came forward beautifully from an encouraging debut to make all in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Fairyhouse.

In truth 'Dusty' Foley's mount was always looking good in this six furlong event, and though Now Or Never made a highly encouraging debut, she was still half a length adrift of the winner at the line.

The third home, Flirt came forward from her debut effort to be two and a half lengths back in third.

Winning trainer Michael Halford said: "She had the run under her belt and was drawn well. She jumped smart and Shane said she was idling a bit in front and he just kept her up to her job.

"She likes the ground, is very straight-forward, with a good temperament, and could go for the fillies Group 3 (Balanchine Stakes) at the Curragh on Derby weekend."

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Bobailin trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

K.J. Manning, rider of Bobailin, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran flat.
