The Thank You To The Frontline Workers From Cork Racecourse Handicap Hurdle produced a dramatic finish with She’stherightone (14/1, and matched at 930 in-running on the exchanges) getting up in the final stride.
The Denis Cullen-trained daughter of Scorpion was in rear early before making headway to go third at the second-last flight of hurdles.
She still looked to have plenty to do at that point to catch the 2/1 favourite Lord Gillygooley but the latter was steadied into the last whereas the momentum gained from the winner’s flying leap at that obstacle carried her to a last gasp victory.
A head was the winning margin with Ruler Of Dubai (8/1) and Getaday (14/1) completing the frame.
Winning rider Denis O’Regan said: "She is very cold and has to be ridden very delicately early on.
"I thought they went a good gallop without going crazy but I have to say, I wasn't happy most of the way but her jumping was so good it kept her in it.
"I accepted maybe I'd be placed turning in and she got going from the last. I put my head down and hoped for the best and thankfully the line stayed far enough away for me at the time and I just got there. It's not the first time she has done that.
"She is getting stronger, wants the three miles and is a credit to Denis Cullen. She is not easy and has won three races now which is good going."
