Maontri became the third successive winner to make most of the running from a wide draw when taking the seven-furlong rated race under Colin Keane.
Keane was also on board when the very lightly-raced seven-year-old mare came good with a vengeance here last Friday, and punters really latched onto her to follow up.
The 2/1 favourite stayed on gamely inside the final furlong to prevail by two lengths from Califante with Reckless Lad another two and a half lengths further back in third.
Fethard-based trainer Matty Tynan said, “She’s surprised us all by coming here with a rise in the handicap (up 15lb) to do it again. I thought she would be 7 or 8/1 but they backed her into 2/1. I’m delighted with her.
“When you have only one you have to mind them. It may be a bit different if you had 20 horses. It’s great to come back and do it again but I suppose it will be tougher the next time.
“The plan is to breed off her, so the better she gets the better it will be for that job.”
