Colin Keane got amongst the winners at Dundalk when landing the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap (45-65) on the 3/1 favourite (from 11/2) International Lady
Successful on her previous start over a furlong shorter at Cork, when Keane was also on board, the Showcasing filly was waited with in mid-division before lauching her challenge in the final quarter-mile.
There were three in with a shout inside the final furlong, but Keane’s mount was half a length in front of Devious Dreamer (5/1) at the line, with Medway (9/2) only a nose further back in third.
Trainer Kevin Smith, whose father (also Kevin), bought the filly for just 1,500 GB Pounds out of Richard Fahey’s yard last October, said: “That was great and it's nice to get two on the bounce.
“She's still quite green and is probably a back-end horse, or even next year's horse, as she's a big filly.
“It's great to get another one into her. We'll see what the handicapper does with her and take it from there.”
