Topaz powers home in Foxrock
Mr Topaz proved a game winner of the Foxrock Handicap at Leopardstown as he held off the challenge of Final Approach for a neck success.
Pat Smullen held his mount up early before hitting the front a furlong and a half out and he had enough left close home to repel Final Approach.
"He's a consistent tough colt and it was a fine battling performance," said winning trainer Dermot Weld.
"He was given a good drive by Pat Smullen and Galway is an option for him now.
"The horses were reproducing form from Cork when they were two-year-olds when they also finished first and second."
