Tom's Times triumphs at Fairyhouse
Tom Mullins' Tavern Times made an impressive winning debut in the concluding Membership 2010 Bumper at Fairyhouse today, overcoming some trouble in-running before recording a comfortable three lengths win.
Tavern Times, owned by a partnership that includes Paul Duffin, jockeys' agent Frost Kelly and Jerry Russell (father of jockey Davy Russell), was checked on the inner at halfway but produced a fine turn of foot in the straight to defeat Old McDonald
Afterwards Mullins reported “Tavern Times always showed plenty of class at home and we fancied him a lot. He may go for a winners' bumper over Christmas next and we'll take it from there before making further plans.”
