Georgios Pakidis, a native of Greece, continues to see his charge Togoville go from strength to strength. The grey defied top-weight under Gary Carroll in the Happy Birthday Anne Hughes Handicap at Dundalk.
The sweet-travelling 11/8 favourite was short of room two furlongs out where he was switched right.
However it was a measure of his superiority that Togoville led a hundred and fifty yards out before going on to put two lengths between himself and the well-fancied Have A Nice Day
Pakidis stated: "He's in the best form of his life. He's doing great-he's healthy and sound.
"He's a better horse than this level. We'll go on turf with him too.
"He got a bit boxed in tonight but I think there's more to come from him.
"I'd like to see him against good horses. He loves to battle and race-he's a real racehorse."
To keep the international theme going, a grouping from the Czech Thoroughbred Association were in attendance.
They were taking in the action on the polytrack before a visit to Coolmore tomorrow.
Their itinerary continues with racing at Leopardstown on Sunday. (MG & EM)
