Themoonandsixpence completes Walsh/Mullins double

Jockey Ruby Walsh and trainer Willie Mullins combined to record a 23/1 double at Killarney this evening, with Themoonandsixpence s win in the Ashes Bar Glenbeigh Long Distance Handicap Hurdle adding to Norwich Boy s earlier win.

The son of Presenting raced prominently throughout, moved through to lead four out, before staying on gamely in the straight for a two and a half lengths win over Printing Copper

Afterwards Walsh stated "Themoonandsixpence is a fair winter type and was racing against summer horses and was entitled to win. He stays and jumps and may win another handicap."
