"I have to say fair play to my 10lb claimer Sean Kirrane. He suggested putting a visor on her. He rode her out during the week with them on and felt they brought an improvement in her," said Johnny Levins after his Kindly landed the Toals.com Bookmakers Handicap at Fairyhouse.
Favourite Captain Power did best of the rest, two and a quarter lengths adrift, but nothing could get to the front-running victor under Donagh O'Connor. Two and a quarter lengths split them.
"In Naas she was a bit of an enigma. We never found anything wrong with her, her temperature was good and the bloods were all good. We just drew a line through it, re-grouped and came back here today," elaborated Levins.
"We went with him, took the bull by the horns, put them (visors) on her so it's a thank-you to him (Kirrane) and he got that one right.
"It was an enterprising ride from Donagh. He half rode it like he stole it, kicked off the bend and left a little bit up his sleeve for the last furlong. He felt if something came he'd go again.
"We have the lovely problem now of deciding whether to run in the Scurry or not. We'll get her home, have a look at her, and see."
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Elegant Drama trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
