Tarziyna had liitle trouble in landing the 4/9 odds in Sligo’s concluding mile and two maiden.

John Oxx’s three-year-old filly was a prohibitive price on the back of two promising efforts in maiden company – fourth in a mile and a half race at Cork and second in a mile and two contest in the Curragh.

Declan McDonogh was always travelling well on her and she smoothly moved into contention inside the two. In the final furlong McDonogh asked her to go and take the race by the scruff of the neck. With 100 yards to go she stretched away and put six lengths on runner-up Flowing Air (16/1). There was a further length back to Laviniad at 9/2 on her first run for Willie Mullins.

Declan McDonogh said: “She quickened up well and handled the ground well. I thought she might want a little ease. That’ll give her more options ground wise.”
