With the loose You Can't Catch Me 'riding shotgun' Golden Jewel came home a convincing victor of the featured Go Racing Student Society Handicap Hurdle at Tipperary.
Following on from The Last Indian and Calie Du Mesnil Golden Jewel (9/2) became the third winning favourite in a row at 'the junction,' scoring by two and a quarter lengths under Chris Timmons.
Eddie Cawley 's now three time winning six-year-old continues on the up, having made the breakthrough over two miles at Fairyhouse in mid-December.
Two and a half miles on summer ground proved no barrier to success on this occasion, indeed he seemed to revel in such conditions.
"He did it nicely and he isn't the easiest to switch off in a race but he left him roll on today instead of fighting with him and it worked out grand," reflected Cawley.
"We might give him a break now and go for something in Galway.
"He shocked me the day he won a two mile race in Fairyhouse as I never thought he'd win over two mile and I didn't think the step up in trip was ever going to be a problem.
"I said coming down if there was firm in the ground I wasn't running him but I was delighted with the way the ground was with plenty of ease in it. They always do a great job with the ground here and it is lovely racing ground."
