Sublime shows his Talent at Limerick
Trainer Dermot Weld and stable jockey Pat Smullen combined for a double at Limerick today, claiming the concluding Limerick Run Maiden with Sublime Talent
Smullen, successful on Weld's Bethrah earlier, raced the son of Sadler's Wells prominently before moving through to lead over a furlong out, staying on best for a neck win over Ruler Of All.
Weld was represented by his son Kris Weld who stated “Sublime Talent has had his few problems but had the form 'in the book' to win today. Pat (Smullen) gave him a brilliant ride and the horse will now be aimed at a handicap – he may go hurdling at some stage too and would appreciate better ground.”
