Second here on his last visit to Dundalk, behind today's race two victor, Togoville Strait Of Zanzibar went a place better under Billy Lee in the Follow Us On Twitter Rated Race.
Many still held chances until late in the day in this seven furlong heat, but it was Ken Condon's six-year-old Strait Of Zanzibar that found most in the final furlong to prevail by half a length form Great Wide Open
"I was happy to see him drawn in five, and the race set up nicely with Maontri going off in front. He comes off the bridle plenty early but finds plenty," explained Condon.
"He's been consistent all season when he has his ground. He minds himself when it's too fast and that's probably why he's kept sound for so long.
"He'll run at Laytown on Thursday and Pauline (wife) will ride him."
