Somatic shows his true colours
Somatic put his last run well behind him (pulled up over the course earlier in the month) when landing the Limerick GAA Handicap Hurdle for trainer Tony Martin and jockey Ruby Walsh in convincing fashion.
The full brother of eight time scorer Psycho was left second two out, with the fall of Viaduct Bud who was disputing the lead with Larkin From there the winner was pushed on and drew away to score by six lengths at the line. Killegney who was up with the pace throughout finished a further six lengths back in third at 14/1.
The winning trainer said afterwards, "That was his first time wearing a tounge tie today. His owners are from Limavady, Co Derry."
