Snaefell scales Cork heights
The Michael Halford trained Snaefell landed his sixth racecourse success and his first of '09 when impressively winning the Charleville Cheese Race at Cork today.
Completing a double for jockey Pat Smullen, the son of Danehill Dancer made all and sprinted clear inside the final furlong for an easy five lengths win.
Afterwards Halford reported "Snaefell has been a wonderful servant for us and that should do his confidence good following a sluggish run the last day."
he added "he was entitled to win today but he seems to be relaxing a lot more now and he should stay seven furlongs"ongs."u201D
