Smullen shines on Solo
Pat Smullen gave Solo Performer a great ride from the front to claim the Louis Roederer Handicap at Down Royal.
Harry Rogers' charge kicked as the runners turned for home and poached a few lengths on the field.
He kept on well for Smullen inside the final furlong to record a four-and-a-half length success over Luttrell Lady
"It was a great ride. He popped out in front and that was the winning of it. He had them at the top of the hill and you have to hand it to Pat," said Rogers.
