Siren a boost for Harrington
Jessica Harrington, got a nice boost as Pathfork and Laughing Lashes build up to the Guineas', when Siren's Song landed the Salsabil Stakes at Navan.
Fran Berry produced the once-raced maiden with a well-timed run inside the final furlong to land the spoils in the Listed event.
She proved a length-and-a-half too strong for Asheerah in the closing stages with 6/4 f Kirinda finishing back in third after finding trouble in running.
The winner had only made her debut at Leopardstown three weeks ago when a promising second.
"I thought her first run was really good. She settled well today even in light of the delay," said Harrington.
"She's entered in the English and Irish Oaks and we'll look for another 1m 2f race for her next.
"She didn't mind the ground but is such a light mover that she'll be better on better ground.
"Fran said she would be even better over a mile-and-a-half."
The race was started 13 minutes late as Gemstone had to be reshod at the start after spreading a plate.
